About Me
Hi! My name is Shannon and welcome to my blog. "Project Shannon" started when I was in high school; an informal challenge to myself to always keep striving - whether physically, emotionally, or intellectually. My goals then were simple: get into a good college, look good in a bikini, and have fun with friends. But as college and life set-in, Project Shannon fell by the wayside.
But now that I'm happily married, gainfully employed, a homeowner, as well as a new mom - it seemed like the perfect opportunity to bring back Project Shannon - filled with new goals, new life challenges, and new opportunities. I will update you on my adventures in decorating a house, inventing tasty recipes, tackling life events, and raising a young daughter.

Q: Why do you refer to your husband only as "Hubby"?
A: My husband works in a sensitive career, where staying "off the grid" is to his advantage. By not mentioning his name, I try to respect his preferences. He's not even on Facebook!
Q: Why do you decorate in a seaside theme, do you live near the ocean?
A: Well, we live in the greater Boston area, and no where is really that far from the water. We can be there in under 30 minutes without trouble! But one of the main reasons we decorate with a strong slant toward "sea inspired decor" is that with stressful, full time jobs, we really look forward to vacations spent on the water. And when we can't head to the beach, we find that surrounding ourselves in a casual, beach-themed house still brings us the same sense of calm and tranquility that we feel with time away.
Q: What camera do you use?
A: I recently purchased a Canon G11. Any photos taken by me, as of September 2010, were taken using this camera.
Q: I saw some mood boards on your blog - do you create those for readers?
A: Thus far, I have only created mood boards for close friends. But that's not to say that I wouldn't love to help you out, as well!
