Which room is IT?

I know, I know.  I'm torturing you right?

Okay, maybe you're not tortured.  Maybe you're just curious.  But more than a couple people are wondering which room I picked for our little lady.  Last week I profiled five nursery ideas I designed - two for a boy, and three for a girl.  And since we are having a girl, you know that two of them are definitely out.  I made you guess which room we picked - then kept you waiting.

So which did I choose?!?  The French theme?  The Gray theme?  Or pick and green?

It was...

The pink and green room!  A couple people guessed correctly...and here I thought I was being so sly.  So why did we pick this room?  Well it was a tough choice between the french theme and the pink/green room.  Those were my two favorites, but ultimately this just felt right.  I was worried that the french room wasn't a clear enough plan.  Plus, this room will be for a little girl, so I felt this design plan would be great now - but could also be easily adapted if she wanted it to be more girly down the road.  More pink?  Just add some throw pillows or repaint!

Even though you just saw my design plan last week, we've made some hay in the past two weeks.  In addition to the rug, I bought fabric swatch samples. Here's a close-up of a few of the fabrics I am going to use in the crib bedding.
And after sampling six {yes, that's right six} paint colors, we finally decided on that too - and Hubby got started.
Please disregard the total disaster that is our nursery.  We hadn't totally moved out all the furniture before we started painting {i.e. the desk}.  Our crib arrived {yey - I adore the Jenny Lind crib}.  And we are making a list of potential names, so I had a pad of paper out and my high school year book for ideas.

{And mom - your Valentine's gift was a-dor-able!  Can you spot it??}

I promise I will talk all about the details of the room in future posts - but I didn't want to keep you in suspense any longer!

So glad everyone likes the direction we took!

@Shannon - yes, the pink tutu was my Valentine's gift. I definitely would have bought one of those anyways!
